Home is a place to light a candle in the darkness, to bring hope to sadness, to celebrate that He has overcome the world. Yet, making home the best place to be requires a grid that says, "I am the one called to bring light."
We moms are giving out at a much faster rate than we are taking in and so depletion and exhaustion and consequences thereof are normal. I just want to affirm all of you who are hard on yourselves. You are making a difference in this world-your work is eternal and extremely important.

We must understand God for what He really is to find a way forward. Seeing God for who he really is, a kind, gentle Father, one who takes children into his arms, the one who touched Elijah when he was weary and fed him, Jesus, the friend who roasted fish and built a roaring fire for the weary fishermen/disciples and encouraged them, will lead us to trust Him and to put our circumstances into His hands.
Jesus came into the world because the people of the world desperately needed hope, comfort, forgiveness, wisdom, and love.
I believe one part of helping our children to develop a moral imagination is by reading them great stories with characters who see themselves as part of a larger story.What our children spend decades imagining may just come to bear witness in their lives as adults.
God wants us to rest, to leave our burdens in His hands, to learn a little more every day, how to walk by faith, love and become more patient, work hard and enjoy our days that He has given.
How do we help our children to be drawn into a beautiful story rather than being lured away into a private world of screens, which are so prevalent in our society?
