We Were Created For So Much More

Throughout Scripture, God warns us against developing idols. In our sophistication, we do not think of ourselves as idolatrous people, as we do not worship statues or look to them to give us meaning and protection. Yet can you identify with any of the ways so many of us waste our lives?

Seeking the pleasure of things that fill our homes but bring no meaning.

Working incessantly and storing up wealth in an attempt to control the security of our lives, while being exhausted in the pursuit.

Entertaining ourselves to death by the endless hours we give our hearts and minds to television and computer, feeling empty at the end.

Through the Holy Spirit, we can live strategic, flourishing lives. The map to get us there requires only that we focus on the values and goals of Scripture so that we may take back the ground that has been lost.

We were created for so much more — more life, more power to influence our circumstances, more strength through the power of the Holy Spirit to overcome our circumstances and to bring light into dark places of our lives.
